Alnico magnets
Magnets made by casting or sintering
Alnico magnets can be made in two ways, either by casting or sintering. Their quality is not so much in their strength, but in their high temperature resistance up to 500°C. Their use is therefore most suitable for high temperature applications. Their disadvantage and advantage at the same time is their low coercivity, which means that they are easy to magnetize and demagnetize. This advantage is especially evident in electro permanent magnetic systems where alnico magnets direct the polarity of neodym magnets, which have the function of load gripping.
